Ed Rochford was raised in West Orange NJ, and graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School. He earned a Basketball Scholarship to American University in Washington DC, and graduated from their Kogod Business School in June 1969. In 1971, Ed was enrolled in the MBA Program at Baruch College in New York City.
Ed's professional career included over 40 years in the Bond Departments of various Wall Street firms including Tucker Anthony, Smith Barney, Salomon Brothers, Citigroup, and Janney Montgomery Scott. He specialized in Institutional Sales to Banks, Funds, Insurance Co's, and Asset Managers. In 2018, Ed formed Marina Bay Capital in order to help Community Banks raise Regulatory Capital. He continues to be active in that business today.
In the past, Ed has volunteered with the Men's Club and enjoys the camaraderie of his fellow members. He can be seen at the Lunchbox Checkout Counter in the summer where he is part of the big group that makes this weekend event so popular. Ed is also Captain of one of the teams in the Bocce League.
Ed and his wife Elaine (Hochstadt) lived in Long Branch, NJ for 20 years before moving to Mirage in 2019. They have traveled extensively and particularly enjoy cruising. Elaine enjoys the Canasta and Mah Jong games within the community, and she is a member of the Scarlet Shady Ladies Red Hat Group.
