Ben Bizgia grew up in Queens, NY. After marrying his wife, Cecilia, he moved to Plainview, L.I., where they raised their four children. Ben worked for the Tri-borough Bridge & Tunnel Authority, now MTA Bridges & Tunnels, working in various maintenance management positions, retiring after 32 years, as the Director of Maintenance in 1999. He then worked five years as the Operations Manager of the Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, before leaving Long Island and moving to Mirage in 2005.
Ben joined the Mirage Architectural Review Committee (ARC) in 2008 serving as a member and as Chairman. He has been a member of the Men’s Club since coming to Mirage. As a member, Ben has been involved in maintaining the Club’s website and serving on the Club’s Board as a Director.
He is a volunteer at the SOMC Old & New Shop in Manahawkin, where he can be found on Wednesdays checking out, cleaning up and repairing if needed, all donated items that are electrical or battery powered, before placing them for sale.
