Myron Polulak was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Nutley and Washington Township, NJ. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1971 and received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Management at Seton Hall University in 1975. He worked thru college by painting homes and then managing a liquor store in North Jersey.
Myron began his sales and marketing career at Opici Wines in Hawthorne, NJ. In 1977, he married his high school sweetheart Joann and moved to Ogdensburg, NJ. In that same year, he took a sales position at Motorola. Promoted to District Manager in 1982, he and his family transferred to Bristol, Connecticut. Joann and Myron raised three children who have successful careers; one is an attorney and two are special educational professionals. Myron and Joann are active with their five grandchildren.
After completing a successful career at Motorola, Myron started a Motorola Two Way Radio dealer business in 1995, New England Communications Systems, Inc. (NECS). NECS thrived in a competitive environment and achieved numerous awards for sales volume and customer satisfaction programs. The business was sold in 2006. Myron stayed on with the new owners, WPCS International and served as Executive Vice President. He participated in numerous business organizations at Motorola and NECS and led several national business focus groups, striving to improve processes, products and market driven customer solutions.
Myron and his wife sold their Connecticut home in 2011 and moved to Mirage in September of that year. Myron retired in 2017. Since living at the Mirage, Myron has been active in several groups and committees. He joined the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) in 2015 and became its chairman in 2017. Myron became a member of the Mirage Men’s Club in 2017 and the Technology Committee in 2018, along with other initiatives in the Mirage Community.
Myron is an active fisherman, golfer, billiard player and enjoys many peaceful hours in Barnegat Bay fishing on his boat “MyJo”. His mission is one of continuous improvement, instilling a “can do attitude”, providing value to the committees and the organizations he participates in and has strong family values.
