Peter DeVito was born and raised in the Red Hook section of Borough of Brooklyn in New York City.  He attended Boys High School in Brooklyn.  He joined the Naval Reserves in April of 1964 and was honorably discharged in April 1966.  He married in February 1968


After his military service, he worked for three (3) years as an underwriter for All City Insurance Company.  After All City Insurance, Pete worked for 32 years on Wall Street, 26 of those years with Solomon Brothers. While on Wall Street, he worked in many different departments, being responsible for balancing stock positions, closing out open receivables in the Dividend Department, handling Solomon Brothers partners and their family and friends trading accounts ensuring all accounts were kept in order.  Pete was also responsible for balancing foreign currency accounts and mortgage-backed securities positions. While at Solomon Brothers, Pete achieved the position of Vice President.

Pete’s last six (6) on Wall Street were spent consulting for CDC Capital, a French Bank in New York City.   Pete retired in 2000 and moved to Stroudsburg, PA.  While there he worked as warranty administrator for an auto dealership.  Pete and his wife, Jo, moved to the Four Seasons at Mirage in 2016.  

Since moving to Mirage, Pete has become a member of the Welcoming Committee, Social Committee, the Finance Committee and is a member of the Men’s Club and a sub volunteer for the Lunch Box.  Pete enjoys playing golf, billiards, poker and likes to take long walks.
